In March 2017, Karl spoke at Tedx Griffith college. The subject to speak on was titled “Beyond your Fear”, so with his line of work he was the perfect candidate for a talk.

Karl’s talk was entitled “All monsters are human”, (an obvious nod to AHS for any horror enthusiasts out there). In the video Karl speaks about his own battles with fear and how his job revolves around the fact that people secretly love to be afraid. Take a listen.
